1. JIIT - Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Delhi 


Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida was established in the year 2001 and has been declared as a "Deemed to be University" under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in the year 2004.There are some institutes that offer part time PhD in Delhi, such as Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT). Candidates interested in pursuing a PhD programme have to apply for admission in JIIT.

The academic program leading to the PhD degree is broad-based and involves course credit requirements.  The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) of the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (Deemed to be University) shall be conferred on a candidate who fulfills all the requirements specified in these Ordinances and Regulations. The minimum qualifications that one needs to fulfill are :-

(i) M. Tech Degree of a University or equivalent for Ph.D. in Engineering / Technology in respective branch with 60% Aggregate Marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10. 

(ii) Master’s Degree of a University for Ph.D. in Sciences / Humanities / Social Sciences / Management / Pharmacy in respective discipline or equivalent with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.

(iii) M. C. A. Degree with 60% Aggregate Marks or equivalent CGPA and two years experience, only for Ph. D. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology Departments.

Minimum and maximum duration to qualify for the award of the PhD Degree  

Minimum Duration For Full Time Candidates Three years, Maximum 6 years and same goes for Part time candidates. 

2. IIT - Indian Institute of Technology Delhi 


The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, or IIT Delhi, is a prestigious institute that offers 102 undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, and doctoral degree programmes. B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and Ph.D programmes are available at the Indian Institute of Technology in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Management, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The minimum qualification for candidates is the same as for full-time and part-time candidates, with the exception that qualifying in a national examination is waived. Admission to these programmes is restricted to employees of Public Sector Undertakings, Government Departments, Research and Development Organizations, and Private Industries (as approved by Faculty Boards). The minimum qualification for these candidates is the same as for full-time candidates, with the exception of qualifying in a national competition.

3. AMBEDKAR UNIVERSITY, DELHI 

The Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar University (AUD) in Delhi was founded in 2008. Ambedkar University offers courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Admission to the courses will be based on the results of the entrance examinations. The doctoral level is offered by Dr. BR Ambedkar University in Delhi. The duration of the courses varies from 2 years to 6 years with a fee of ₹18,740 (1st Year Fees) .

4. DELHI UNIVERSITY, DELHI 


Delhi University (DU) was founded in 1922. The UGC has designated the University of Delhi as an Institute of Eminence (IoE). The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes in a variety of fields. Admission to undergraduate courses at DU is accomplished through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The Delhi University Entrance Test is used to determine admission to postgraduate and Ph.D programmes (DUET).

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) is a three/six-year full-time Doctoral programme.PG with at least 55% aggregate (or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent) and successfully completed the MPhil degree with at least 55% aggregate, total fee = INR 43,400*
